WHO IS MIG ?
A passionate team that is always on hand to help you discover new references and travel beyond the borders...
Mig’s world wines first opened its doors in 1995 in a small pouchsized shop in Ixelles.
Miguel (aka Mig), a Belgian citizen born and brought up in Australia, was the creator. With this strong success, the shop was soon found too small and was moved to its present location
on the Chaussée de Charleroi in 1999. These new premises were decorated by two of Miguel’s talented artist friends, Olivier Damien and Philippe Cardoen. Miguel worked alone for a long time.
Then, since 2001, many important people, devoted and passionate by the wines & spirits universe, came to contribute to the development of this Ali Baba cave, from Régis, through Xavier, Christian, Dorian, Spyro, Eva, LP …
Lucy left after 18 years. Born in New York but raised in Paris and Brussels, Lucy studied oenology at the Ceria in Brussels and with the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust). She ran the wineshop during all this time.
Patrick left after 8 years. Graduated from the Wine University of Suze-la-Rousse and the Syntra distilling course. He developed the entire range of spirits from 4 references when he arrived to over 500 when he left.
Thierry who’s in charge now, joined the mig’s adventure in 2017. Emeline and Claire in 2021 and eventually Simon in 2022 !
WINES FROM 35 COUNTRIES
WORLD WIDE SPIRITS
and a wide range of Belgian products. The shop could easily be confused with Ali Baba’s cave (and we’re not talking about the somewhat “brol” aspect of the place!)
And all that is only the tip of the iceberg,
because Mig’s is independent and has access to thousands of other wines. Whisper in our ears and we will do everything to satisfy your wine desires (and often not in vain!).
A musician at heart and with a career, his taste for gastronomy has propelled him into the world of wine.
He performed several training in wines, especially the Ceria in Brussels. He runs the wine shop and all the new references.
Wishing to be an oenologist during her childhood, wine has always been a passion for her. She passed her Master degree in Wine & Spirits and her WSET 3 in Wines. A real Swiss Army knife, she manages the shop and also the wine assortment.
Graduated from a Design & Wine university, she is passionate about spirits, especially whisky, her speciality. She is the creative force and masterizes the storytelling of the distillery. She is the successor of Patrick, she runs the spirits assortment.

charge of deliveries and knows everything
about belgian beers !
